2010 In Review

This is the last week of 2010, the city is blanketed in over a foot of snow, which provides an ideal opportunity to look back on the past year, before we getting rolling into 2011. It has been an amazing year for Viva Viva, highlighted with the release of our debut, self-titled album on Fort Point Recordings.

The album was officially released in November, after much toil, and we are excited that it is being so well received. The reviews are coming in with glowing praise, and accolades like Album of the Year from Time Out Boston! Boston radio is playing it, which has kept us in The Noise Top 30 Radio Chart. 101.7FM WFNX's Boston Accents host Dave Duncan picked us as one of his Top Ten Local Songs of 2010.

We were grateful to receive 2010 Boston Music Awards nominations for Rock Artist of the Year and Live Artist of the Year. The awards ceremony at the Liberty Hotel, sponsored by Time Out Boston and Music Drives Us, was an amazing evening. The local music scene came out for a nite on the town, looking their sexiest. It was great seeing many friends, as well as meet some new ones.

We had some great shows this year and look forward to even more in the new year! Michael Marotta, Boston Phoenix Music Editor, included us recently in his Boston Rock's 2010 In Review, branding us as "Boston's best live act"! We'll keep you posted as we finalize the last details for our annual Valentine's Day Prom!

2011 has all the makings to be another great year for Viva Viva and we hope that you will join us for the ride! Thank you to everyone that came out to the shows, bought the album, called in radio requests, and wrote about us. We have much love for you all. Best wishes in the new year.
